A Gentle Pause

A Gentle Pause is a short, free guided meditation created to support people who are grieving.

Grief can leave the nervous system feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or constantly on edge. This meditation is not designed to fix your grief, move you forward, or help you “feel better.” Instead, it offers a quiet place to pause — a moment where your body can soften and settle without effort.

This practice is especially supportive when:

  • grief feels heavy or all-consuming
  • your nervous system feels taxed or overstimulated
  • you don’t have the capacity for long or structured practices
  • you need rest, not reflection or insight

There is no right way to experience this meditation. You don’t need to clear your mind, process emotions, or change anything about how you’re feeling. You’re simply invited to arrive as you are and allow your body a few moments of steadiness and support.

A Gentle Pause was created from lived experience and is grounded in nervous-system-informed meditation practices. It is suitable for use at any time — whether you are newly grieving or further along and simply need a place to rest.

This meditation is offered freely as a gentle starting point for those navigating loss.

If this meditation feels supportive, you may wish to explore other gentle offerings designed to support nervous system regulation, emotional steadiness, or inner safety. You are always welcome to move at your own pace.

Includes:

  • Guided meditation audio (MP3)
  • Welcome guide with gentle guidance
  • Reflection prompts for tender days
  • Affirmations for comfort and self-trust
