Guided Meditations with Dr. Susan Edkins

I’m Dr. Susan Edkins, EdD and I create these guided meditations as quiet supports for people moving through grief, stress, and the tender unraveling that often comes with life change.
My approach is gentle and body-centered, focused on helping you feel safe and steady again—without pushing, fixing, or rushing your experience. I understand these seasons personally, and everything here is offered with care.
These meditations are created with intention and are gently infused with Reiki, an energy-based practice that supports relaxation and balance. You don’t need to understand or believe in energy work for them to be supportive. Simply listening at your own pace is enough.
Take what you need. Come back whenever you wish. You’re not alone.
If you’re new here or feeling overwhelmed, this is a gentle place to begin.
These short, supportive meditations are designed to help your nervous system settle and create a sense of inner safety.
There is no right pace and no need to do this perfectly.
You’re invited to begin wherever feels most supportive today.
If you find yourself wanting deeper or more sustained emotional support, you’ll find individual meditations and gentle series below—available whenever you’re ready.
These meditations are for moments when you feel emotionally overloaded, unsettled, or carrying more than you realize.
They are designed to gently support emotional release and nervous system recalibration — without forcing insight, catharsis, or change. Move at your own pace.
You are always in control of how deeply you engage.
These meditations are designed to support a deeper sense of steadiness, inner safety, and grounded presence over time. They are helpful when you feel more settled and ready to strengthen your internal support system — gently and at your own pace.
There is no goal to reach here. Simply return to what helps you feel anchored and supported.
These meditations are offered for times of transition, when you feel ready to listen inward and gently reconnect with your own wisdom. They are not about fixing or forcing clarity, but about creating space for insight, meaning, and self-trust to emerge in its own time.
Move slowly. There is no destination to reach here, only a deeper listening.
How do I know which meditation is right for me?
Begin with what feels most supportive right now. Shorter, lower-priced meditations offer gentle grounding and comfort. Longer or higher-priced meditations provide deeper nervous system support and emotional regulation. There’s no “right” place to start, your body’s response is the best guide.
Why are some meditations priced differently?
Meditations are priced based on their length, depth, and the level of nervous system support offered. Some are designed as brief moments of reassurance, while others offer deeper therapeutic-style support or include additional resources.
Do I need meditation experience?
No. All meditations are beginner-friendly and gently guided. You’re invited to listen in a way that feels safe and supportive for you.
Do I have to clear my mind completely in order to meditate?
No. It’s completely normal for your mind to wander, especially if you’re new to meditation or feeling stressed. When you notice this happening, gently return your attention to your breath or the sound of the guidance. There’s no need to push thoughts away. Each return t the breath is part of the practice. Remember that it is a practice which means it will get easier the more times you do it.
How often can I listen?
As often as you’d like. Many people return to the same meditation repeatedly during times of stress, grief, or transition.
Is it okay if I don’t feel anything right away?
Yes. There is no expected experience. Whatever you notice, or don’t notice, is enough. Your nervous system receives the support even when the effects feel subtle.
Does it still work I fall asleep?
Yes. Even if you drift off, your nervous system continues to receive the calming cues of the meditation. Rest itself can be deeply regulating. There’s no need to stay awake or “do it right” because your body takes what it needs.
